2000-12-28 - 10:09 On the internal soundtrack: I can't tell. When I try to hear it, it stops. Odd. Well, golly, I hate it when I'm away for a while and try to remember what the hell I wanted to remember about that time. They used a real baby to play Jesus at the Christmas pageant. It was a very easygoing baby. Looked to be 3-4 months old. Until Mary and Joseph made it to the stable, the baby was being held by a huge altar boy (over 6' and not skinny) known as Big John or something similar. The baby looked very tiny and adorable in its very smallness. Then later I saw him in Mary's arms, and since she was considerably smaller than Big John, the baby appeared to have doubled in size. Megan said to me at the gingerbread house-making party, "For someone who doesn't want children, you sure like babies a lot." I said, "Babies are great. It's the responsibility I don't want."
